Ali Zidan celebrated for COVID literature review
Ali Zidan received an award from Seminars in Thrombosis & Haemostasis for his review article "Zidan A, Noureldin A, Kumar SA, Elsebaie A, Othman M. COVID-19 Vaccine-Associated Immune Thrombosis and Thrombocytopenia (VITT): Diagnostic Discrepancies and Global Implications. Semin Thromb Hemost. 2023 Feb;49(1):9-14,” winning one of two Eberhard F Mammen Seminars in Thrombosis and Hemostasis 2024 Most Popular Article Awards for the ‘Free to download' Category. This award carries a cash prize of $1000US.

International Society on Thrombosis & Haemostasis (ISTH) Congress 2022
At this year's ISTH Congress in Sunny London, UK, Dr. Othman's lab group presented several abstracts & posters. Those presenting included: Shreya Anil Kumar, Yousra Tera, Oliva Saville, Elena Gupalo, Helen Okoye, & Sydney Penfound. A big congratulations to Dr. Elena Gupalo for winning a Reach-the-World travel award.

Shreya Anil Kumar receives ASURF Grant
ASURF (Arts & Science Undergraduate Research Fund) was implemented to foster a community amongst undergraduate scholars and promote a greater investment in undergraduate research. Through the partnership between ASUS and the Faculty of Arts and Science at Queen’s University, ASURF will assist in funding research projects at the undergraduate level.

This is an award organized by the editors in chief at Seminars Thrombosis and Haemostasis journal. This award recognizes a young investigator with outstanding performance in an international conference. Sajida was nominated for her outstanding abstract and oral presentation at ISTH 2021.
